Finding joy in the mess.
This family is all about creativity, connection, and embracing the beautiful mess. Whether it's baking with baby or video games with a side of beekeeping, Amanda and Frankie are finding purpose—and joy—in this new season of life.
Q. Who's in your family?
Amanda, Frankie, and Lola (10 months)
Q. What are your hobbies?
Amanda: Photography, yoga, reading, cooking, baking, DIY crafting.
Frankie: Fitness, gaming, health and wellness, beekeeping.
Q. Did becoming a parent change your identity?
Amanda: Absolutely. We’ve both experienced major shift. Our new favorite thing is Lola and everything she does. She’s really given life purpose in a whole new way. Being a parent has actually been very healing.

Q. How has parenting shifted your relationship to your hobbies?
Both: We help each other make time for ourselves to keep up with our hobbies. Lola’s nap times are a sacred space in this household for enjoying alone time and pursuing hobbies.

Q. Do your little ones share your interests?
Both: We try to involve Lola and teach her about our hobbies whenever possible. She loves cooking and baking with me. She loves playing with her pretend video game controller next to dada while he plays. And she goes everywhere with us.
Q. What advice would you give to new parents?
Amanda: Give it time and don’t compare yourself to anyone else. Do something for yourself every single day even if it’s something small. And try to just embrace the mess. That’s how we survive!
Q. What are your favorite Lalo products?
Both: Definitely the high chair. That’s our number one right now. We let Lola get messy in her chair and play with food (getting a Splat Mat was a pivotal moment for us!). Our other favorite from Lalo is the bathtub. We have it in sage and it’s adorable. It’s the most aesthetically pleasing little baby tub ever. Highly recommend.
