Meet Lizzie, Lalo's new Head of Play & Development
Hi, I'm Lizzie Assa, MS. Ed., Lalo's new Head of Play & Development and the founder of The Workspace for Children. I'm a parenting strategist and independent play expert who believes that play is how children make sense of their world.
I help parents, caregivers, and teachers by offering them engaging, simple-to-set-up play ideas and tips for communicating more effectively with children. I believe that independent play is valuable for the entire family. It gives parents a break and helps children develop creativity, problem-solving, and self-regulation skills. For the last 10 years, I’ve been helping grownups across the globe create playful and supportive environments for their children to grow and learn and I'm so excited to join the Lalo team to help bring play into your home.
I've been featured in The New York Times, Parents, and The Wall Street Journal, and I'm passionate about helping grownups create supportive environments for children and families to play and learn.
I'm a graduate of the Bank Street College of Education in NYC, and I live in Marblehead, MA with my husband, three children, and two goofy Goldendoodles.
